Thinking about placing an order with us? We look forward to building a long-lasting relationship with you! To help get things off on the right foot, we wanted to answer some of the most common questions our customers have when placing an order with us:
Q: What are the costs of shipping?
A: Shipping costs vary but are based on item weight, delivery urgency, and other factors. Please see our detailed shipping information for more information about our shipping policies, procedures, rates, and the options available to you.
Q: Do you charge sales tax?
A: We only charge sales tax on orders shipped to addresses in New York State.
Q: When will my order arrive?
A: Most of our items ship within 24 hours. Orders placed before 3 PM will be shipped that day. On Fridays, the cutoff for same-day shipping is 11 AM. However, some items are not eligible for same-day shipping and this is noted in the product description.
Q: What other order methods do you offer?

In an effort to better inform our customers of our shipping policies, procedures, costs, methods, and the options available to them, we have created a detailed shipping guide. We automatically calculate the shipping rate when you add a product to your shopping cart. However, some products may require specialty freight shipping rather than conventional shipping with a ground carrier. In this event, we’ll contact you directly to provide a freight quote. We believe in offering additional value to our customers. One way that we do that is by offering free shipping on orders over $49.99. However, there are a few restrictions to our free shipping offer, including:
● Most items qualify for free shipping – every qualifying item is marked as such on the product page.
● To qualify for free shipping, all items in the cart must be marked as eligible and the total dollar value must exceed $49.99
● If a shopping cart includes items that qualify for free shipping and items that do not, and the dollar value of qualifying items exceeds $49.99, shipping will only be charged on non-qualifying items
● Free shipping is from dock to dock or dock to curbside and does not include inside delivery, express shipping, etc.
● Must be delivered within the continental United States (excludes Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, etc.)
Shipping Methods Explained
Standard Shipping - Orders that qualify for free shipping may ship with USPS with a 1-6 business day transit time.
We offer additional shipping services, and they can be selected at the time of checkout.
UPS Shipping: See our ground shipping map for estimated delivery times to various regions of the continental US.
● Next Day Air: Delivers the next business day by 10:30 AM (some zip codes are excluded)
● Next Day Air Saver: Delivers the next business day by 3 PM (some zip codes are excluded)
● Two Day Air: Delivers within two business days
● Three Day Select: Delivers within three business days
We’re happy to ship to customers around the world. We primarily use USPS and UPS for this purpose. Note that customs, duties, and taxes on purchases, shipping, and deliveries, are the responsibility of the customer.
Factory Direct Shipping
Note that some of the items we sell ship direct from the manufacturer, rather than from our Brooklyn, NY, location. Factory/manufacturer direct shipping is indicated on such products. Any such product will not be included in shipments from our warehouse.
Most of the items we offer include same-day shipping as long as the item is ordered prior to 3 PM Monday through Thursday and prior to 11 AM on Friday. However, some items are not eligible for same-day shipping, and this is noted in the product description.
If your order does not qualify for standard shipping methods, commercial freight shipping will be necessary.
For customers without a loading dock, lift gate delivery in conjunction with freight service is necessary. Liftgates lower the delivery load to ground level, where it can be unloaded via a hand truck, pallet jack, dolly, or forklift. Note, it is the purchaser’s responsibility to notify (may incur additional fee) that a liftgate is needed. It’s the responsibility of the customer to move the item/product inside once offloaded.
Note that delivery to a residential address, as well as delivery to schools, churches, or areas with limited access and some other exclusions will require additional charges. This also applies to customers with Alaska or Hawaii APO or FPO addresses. Note that it is the purchaser’s responsibility to identify whether the address is limited access, residential, or another type that would require an additional charge. If an attempt is made to deliver a purchase and it is unsuccessful because of a failure to note this, redelivery fees will be charged.
Product Damage and Liability Policy
Below, we explain our policy when it comes to product damage and liability.
Kerekes/BakeDeco is not liable for any product damaged during shipping/transit.
If you notice damage to the packaging or to a product included in your shipment, please note it as such on the delivery receipt/bill of lading in the presence of the driver. Take pictures of any damage to substantiate your claim when the freight carrier arranges for an inspection. Keep all packaging (inner and outer). Upon receipt of the product, follow these steps:
● Inspect the package thoroughly, noting any signs of damage, prior to signing for delivery.
● If the package has obvious signs of damage, refuse delivery.
If you follow these steps and refuse delivery, we will replace the damaged product at no cost and reship to your location.
We define concealed damage as any damage to the actual product without any visible sign on the exterior packaging. Always review your order with the driver prior to signing the receipt/bill of lading. If you notice any damage whatsoever, keep all of the packaging and request an inspection by the freight carrier. Do not sign the receipt. You can file a claim for an inspection by submitting a written request with the carrier, and it must be done within 48 hours of delivery. Signing the BOL without Inspection
If you sign the bill of lading/receipt without inspecting the product, only to find that there is damage later, there is no possibility of reimbursement of any costs. Signing the bill of lading/receipt indicates that the item was received in good condition from the shipper. Once signed, you own the item outright even if there is damage.
Refusing Shipments and Returns without Authorization
The only way to avoid additional fees and charges in the event of a refused delivery is if there is damage to the product/product packaging, and refusal must take place at the time of delivery and the BOL cannot be signed. In any other situation, it will be considered as a return and our return policy will apply.
Product Storage and Redelivery Fees
If a carrier attempts to deliver your purchase and is unable to do so because of reasons within your control or a lack of initial information about the location/address, redelivery fees may apply. Additional delivery fees may also be assessed if there is a change of destination address once the product ships.
Note that carriers reserve the right to assess storage fees for any period of time beyond that required for standard transit. If you request that the carrier store your product, they may assess additional fees for that storage. If the carrier bills us, we will submit the charges to you. Also note that you will be responsible for any damage to the product sustained during storage. If you choose to keep a damaged order, your standard damage policy applies. If you refuse the order, our shipment refusal policy will apply.
